How sweet it is......WMT closed at 70! Now on to 80 and perhaps a split. Maybe management is waiting for a high enough price to do a
3 for 1 split rather than 2 for 1. Whatever they're doing, hooray!

flmp,

As an a long-term investors, I don't usually have explanations for stocks' day-to-day fluctuations; sometimes there weren't any, just market plays and heresays.

Two minor things came to mind, however. Pfizer did announce today (or yesterday) re. the uncertainty of Viagra's marketing outcome in Russia due to the country's economic turmoil. And, frequently, options expiry would play a role in stock price, but I haven't checked the options chains to see where the MMs would like the price at when the November options expire in 2 weeks.

Regards,
Ibexx
