<<in which a man 80 years is interviewed about his life's thinking in the field of pattern recognition. only by viewing many aspects of the market in real time charts, does the brain really develop the right instincts. he even talks specifically about how you flex your pattern responses>> Dell is exhibiting smilar movement now as did at $42.50 (about three months ago, reckon). market booming, Dell sitting like an icon, first down, then down, then flat, then flat, up slightly, then flat. then the last two hours of trading when market turned flat (assumption 'now that the market's flat Dell will fall like an arrow), Dell shot up $2 1/2, and another $2 1/2 the following day followed by a significant run higher. for whatever reason they have a reason for moving out margin/day traders. you're probably correct in that Dell's behavior has been more a function of the mm's ability to move, than any info relative to Dell itself. one other thing is that action like today produces increased shorting/puts from the unwary (sometimes they've won too though, but briefly). they attempt to create a dangerous hold (increased visual risk). they are just too good at what they do.
