SweetE, this new declaraton of yours is exactly why I sent my last post... You should never (never, never, never) be drawn into a communication, or even a thought process, that, in any way, 'defends' your daughter's existence. She - God Damn It - is! In researching autism a cpla years ago, I ran into a bibliography of books by autistic folk. I have never read one. (Actually, I am smug enough to feel the reading would add little to my awareness.) Their theme is: "Oh, if you only could understand what it is like being in here - and not being able to meet with you!" Who the hell knows? How much is there? It must be viewed with wonder, musn't it? Wonder and the most profound of all loves that our minds can conjure up. I hope you do not get jealous, but, I believe, I love your daughter about a weensy bit more than I love you. g ps: Please try to get off the intellectual platform with the kid. She is. That's it. She is. And you don't have to confabulate with nobody bout why or how this is, that she is! g
