Thanks, Marcos,
In the absence of news, paranoia and conspiracy theories find
fertile ground. The truth is that there are so many variables
in exploration that the best one can do is set a hoped for
schedule and then be flexible. The weather is always a problem.
Walt's posts make that clear. Everything from fog to white outs
to ice roads to temperatures that freeze the water lines. There
also are a large number of groups involved in any exploration
process. Truckers, helicopter companies, suppliers of equipment
and food, crew. Once the ore it out, the labs have their own
schedules with problems of storage and processing. You get in
line and wait your turn. Add in the need for security. (See
the article in the G&M today on security at DMM).

I, too, have heard that there will be land based drilling and
since, I assume, our sources are different, the rumour is likely
true. If they helicopter materials and crew in that means they
can start much earlier than if they have to wait for 7 feet of
ice. They'll have to balance expense against advantage.
