<<I hate it when I have a bid in at one price an the stock trades to the MM below my bid. My broker tells me this is allowed by the exchange during the first trades of the day. >>

This apparently happened to me ONE time, at Olde, when they were my broker and an MM in the issue. It was the last trade they ever did for me. I have never seen this with two online brokers, ETrade and Wall Street Access, who I currently use and would recommend - $25 per trade and excellent customer service.

Don't joke about driving the stock with a $5000 purchase, I drove it up 1/16 yesterday with my bid and a 2500 share sale.
