I just opened my account up and haven't switched into a money market account yet... but I'll probably switch into the Spartan MM account when it comes time... You are right about the one time aspect of the 3% load, at least for non-retirement accounts, not sure about IRA's, etc.

BTW, does anyone follow specific strategies for switching/timing fund rotations. I just subscribed to the Pitbull switching strategy...

now that you mention it, I remember a disagreement a long time ago on this thread about loads..........I called Fido ...they waive it ONLY for certain customers.......my school district is HUGE so it is waived. This makes it a real good deal. I am talking about SELECTS only.

PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR EMPLOYER !!!....or better yet, check with Fido.

Good Luck

> What money market fund do you switchers use ?

I moved in and out of Select funds because I don't pay
the 3% fee.

I used two Fidelity MM funds: Select MM fund (FSLXX, #85)
and Retirement MM fund (FRTXX, #630). Often FRTXX yields
more, but not always. For example, currently FSLXX pays
more (5.36%) than FRTXX (5.04%).
