Here is another market that might be worth putting on the back burner:

"Due to DVD's potential for creating perfect
digital copies of films, movie studios have
cooked up a copy-protection stew. The most
basic portion is the encryption of DVD video
data itself, which must be decrypted before it
can be displayed--sucking up significant
processing power. That's why it's best to have
a decoder card--rather than the CPU--handle
the burden during playback. Additionally, a
special Macrovision circuit in most players
prevents VCR duplications. Worst of all,
because the studios like to control when and
where videos are released, some titles bought
in one part of the world may not run on DVD
drives purchased elsewhere."
