Here is another market that might be worth putting on the back burner: "Due to DVD's potential for creating perfect digital copies of films, movie studios have cooked up a copy-protection stew. The most basic portion is the encryption of DVD video data itself, which must be decrypted before it can be displayed--sucking up significant processing power. That's why it's best to have a decoder card--rather than the CPU--handle the burden during playback. Additionally, a special Macrovision circuit in most players prevents VCR duplications.
