Which cable company, TCI/@HOME? Cable is faster, much faster. That is until everyone in the neighborhood gets it. Then it's a matter of decreasing bandwidth. I think cable will do okay in the bandwidth wars. There's a place for both ADSL and Cable and both will be winners IMHO. I also have a position in ATHM and I think they will do VERY well in the future.
