Yeah imagine that. Imagine expecting the occupant of the Oval Office to have some "minimal class". Imagine expecting the President to avoid perjury and obstruction of justice while in office.

Hyde is widely respected on both sides of the aisle and in his home district. I very much doubt your predictions about his eventual fate. Personally, I'm glad to see D'Amato gone. I think he was an embarrassment to the party as a whole.

When it comes to the law, opinion polls don't matter as the one you cited for the impeachment process. Should we have continued segregation and Jim Crow laws which were very popular in their time? perjury is perjury, it matters not the subject of the perjury. Its not about hoiler than thou or smarter than thou, its about one of the bedrock principles of this country and one which helps to separate us from most all others: We are a nation of laws not men. Such a principle was the antithesis of those who ruled in the Kremlin. If you don't know that you are a poor student of government and history.

And remember one last thing sMarty, only someone committed to being a loser loses "gracefully". You have a nice evening. JLA
