Hummingbird announces implementation of business intelligence solution using Microsoft SQL 7.0 ''Plato'' at Nationwide Hummingbird BI/Suite Maximizes Nationwide's Business Opportunities Through Better Data Analysis and Reporting TORONTO, Nov. 9 /CNW/ - Hummingbird Communications Ltd. (TSE: ''HUM'' and NASDAQ: ''HUMCF'') announces that the world's number one building society, Nationwide, is implementing Hummingbird BI/Suite, a comprehensive business intelligence solution that minimizes bad debts and maximizes new business opportunities through fast and in-depth risk analysis. Hummingbird BI/Suite runs on the Microsoft SQL Server, Enterprise Edition version 7.0 - the 'Plato' environment - and enables Nationwide to drill down into large amounts of information and to assess customer credit ratings within minutes. This is done using BI/Query, Hummingbird's enterprise and query reporting application, and BI/Analyze, the leading enterprise query, reporting and online analytical processing (OLAP) solution (part of the BI/Suite family). As a result, Nationwide can make more informed decisions and ultimately provide a more effective service for its customers.
