My read..it verrifies the science of the underground model with the basis of the drills...that is #1 IMPORT. Now here it is again, as with all busy folks time and extra study must be offered...have not had deep time but I read and I like it. Yes, positive. I think that if this value in the ground can be shown, we will get financing and they will become, not just a claimer and manager BUT a PRODUCTION VENTURE PARTNER- Manager! P.S.- It is natural stuff leach and not CN or the deadly stuff!!!! ! A DRAMATIC CHANGE will happen. Market :

THE WINTERS COMPANY REPORT COMMENTS POSITIVELY
ON THE SULLIVAN COPPER PROJECT

JABA Inc. is pleased to announce that The Winters Company independent
engineering report on the Sullivan in situ copper project is now
completed and has been filed with the Alberta Stock Exchange.

The extensive scope of The Winters Company (TWC) report (84 pages, more
than 16,000 words, 16 colored maps and diagrams, and 7 tables) precludes
its description in detail here. However, there are five key items that
are worthy of comment.

The report states "...our review of existing environmental conditions
and the requirements for obtaining the necessary environmental permits
for both the Sullivan North and the Sullivan South projects indicate
that there are no known barriers to successful permitting of either
project. In situ mining at these locations presents a set of permitting
and compliance issues that are similar to those which have been
successfully dealt with at other Arizona in situ mining projects."

TWC has reviewed the geologic block resource models of tonnage, grade,
and pounds of contained acid soluble copper submitted to them by JABA
and found them to be reasonable order of magnitude estimates for the
Sullivan project and "...found a high degree of geological accuracy in
this model" (Sullivan North).

TWC states that drilling to date has not closed off mineralization on
the Sullivan north ...which "...is approximately 7,000 feet long by
1,500 feet wide and is open to the north and south".

TWC continues "...underground mining may well be feasible locally in
the... Sullivan North and Sullivan South deposits".

Finally, the report also states that in the opinion of The Winters
Company, both the Sullivan North and the Sullivan South zones are
candidates for a feasibility study for in situ leaching, although
further leach testing will be necessary to determine acid consumption
and recovery efficiencies.

In the meantime, the Company is in discussion with several interested
parties with a view to securing a joint venture agreement on this
project in the near future.

On behalf of the Board of Directors,

James A. Briscoe
Chief Executive Officer

IOC to reactivate Sept-Iles pellet plant

By John Cumming

Steel markets in North America and Europe are weakening as a result of cheaply produced Asian
imports. However, Australian major North Limited, confident of a long-term recovery, has
announced major capital expenditures for its subsidiary, Iron Ore Co. of Canada (IOC).

IOC's assets include: an open-pit iron mine, concentrator and pellet plant in Labrador City, Nfld.; a
deep-water port and idled pellet plant on the lower St. Lawrence River at Sept-Iles, Que.; and a
420-km rail line connecting the two towns.

Dome Mine

Dome Mine, a division of Placer Dome North America, is an underground and open pit gold
mining operation located within the City of Timmins, Ontario. The mine has been in
operation since 1910, and with the recent $150 million expansion, is producing over
300,000 ounces of gold annually. The mill processes approximately 4.2 million tons of ore
annually, of which 3.0 million tons are supplied by the open pit and the remainder by the
underground operations.

Dome Mine is seeking applications for the challenging position of:

NEWS RELEASE

November 13, 1998

JOHN M. GUILBERT, CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD, SELECTED BY THE SOCIETY OF
ECONOMIC GEOLOGISTS FOR THE 1998 PENROSE GOLD MEDAL

JABA Inc. is most pleased and particularly honored to announce that the
Society of Economic Geologists (SEG) has selected Dr. John M. Guilbert,
Professor Emeritus of Economic Geology, University of Arizona, to
receive the Society's Penrose Gold Medal for 1998, a coveted honor.

R.A.F. Penrose died in 1931 at the age of 68. He astounded the American
science community by bequeathing $5 million each to his two passions,
the Geological Society of America (GSA) and the American Philosophical
Society. A philanthropist-entrepreneur-geologist, Penrose earned his
first fortune at the Commonwealth silver-gold mine at Pearce, Arizona,
which led to his major role in establishing the Utah Copper Corporation,
later Kennecott Copper Corporation. He had served as founder and first
President of the Society of Economic Geologists in 1920 and President of
GSA in 1930. He established two funds for gold medals to be given in
his name by the GSA and SEG, each its Society's most elite medal.

The SEG Penrose Gold Medal is awarded "in recognition of a full career
in the performance of ‘unusually original work in the earth sciences',
which is broadly interpreted to encompass major contributions to: (1)
the science through research; (2) the profession through teaching,
program administration, and development of exploration technology; and
(3) the development of mineral resources through mine geology,
exploration and discovery." Only thirty-three SEG Penrose Medals have
been awarded in the 68 years since 1920 to senior scientists who have
made significant contributions to the science of economic geology
throughout their careers. It is significant to note that 12 of the 33
medals have gone to scientists in Universities. The University of
Arizona has garnered the most (3) and is the only University to have to
have won two consecutively.

This well-deserved award recognizes Dr. Guilbert's ground-breaking
research on porphyry copper deposits, as well as a wide range of other
deposit types around the world. The award also recognizes John's very
significant contribution to the education of an entire generation of
economic geologists through his distinguished career at the University
of Arizona and his widely used textbook, ‘The Geology of Ore Deposits',
and the many field trips that he has carried out during his
professorship.
