Thanks for the full brief on the DCR product issue.

All bases are being covered. I do recall reading Ampex official correspondence to the effect that their products have long lead times and that recognition of revenue can be lumpy (my term). In this same context, I also remember reading that the quality of order prospects was good.

With regard to DSI, I can also speculate that the Asian crisis and the decline in oil prices is having dampened effect on seismic exploration.

I admit to having problems in not going further with the Chris Duckling reference.

I don't know how Ampex could capitalize on a Digital Television capture. However I can see their real benefit with a software systems integrator who could provide a high level of expertise and service. I think this would complement core high end product lines.
