A great deal of cyber-ink was spilled on this thread as the discussion raged about the flow rate of Anvil's well. If you will recall, Anvil had the well on a 1/4" [ 16/64ths ] choke and the three zones were combining to produce what was estimated to be about 4.5 mmcf/day of gas. Here's a press release from a company which has just drilled a gas well in Tennessee. Pay close attention to the choke size and the flow rate, then do a little arithmetic in your head. In fact, do a lot of arithmetic in your head or use a calculator, keeping in mind the non-linear relationship between the diameter and the area of a circle. Then smile - a LOT.
