True confession time:

I bought 1,000 shares long today at a little under $9. During the last few minutes of the day I decided that the runup was based on false hype, so I SOLD COVERED CALLS -- November $5s -- against my entire position. I figured the stock would get pounded down, I'd buy back my calls, and then sell the shares on a rebound during the day.

Needless to say, I was wrong in my estimation about the "hype."

So I have a little profit from the sale of the calls, but now I'm boxed in.

I can just sit on the sidelines and watch until November expiration... or if someone else has ever stumbled into this situation, I'd like to hear how you got out of it, and how you'd apply it in this situation to make a profit. (Since I effectively have no position in the stock, maybe the answer is just to ignore my current holdings and trade tomorrow as if I were starting fresh.)
