amzn is really nothing more than a mail order catalog. They take orders for other
companies' products, and send them out in the mail. What else do they do?

Victor,

This is exactly what Amazon.con is. I just visited the Amazon site and then the Barnesandnoble site. The barnesandnoble site had faster response than Amazon. That did not use to be the case. Of course, Barnes also already had their software for sale. Amazon's goof gift center was a waste.

But a look at mail order companies will show that many of them are losing money and
the ones that are not are barely making money.

There are only two successful mail order firms of which I am aware. One is LL Bean located Northeast of Portland, Maine. The other name escapes me at present but I believe is in the state of near St. Paul I believe. I should know the name.
