>>The most recent Dell mailer - all laptops - had about 50% of the models, the high end ones, with the SuperDisk in the standard configuration. This is "to the best of my recollection", the mailer came in a few days ago & I skimmed and tossed it. Let's hope Dell sees the error of their ways soon.<<

John -

I just checked their web site. I don't see SuperDisk in any of their notebooks, and of course none of the desktop or tower configurations have it, though many of them do have Zip standard and all offer it as an option.

One of the Dell Inspirion notebooks can be fitted with an internal Zip drive, which fits into a multi-device bay.

I'm not saying that Dell absolutely doesn't offer notebooks with SuperDisk. Perhaps they do. I just couldn't find it in my brief check of their web site. The one place SuperDisk offers any advantage over Zip is in the notebook market. With a notebook system, it's always helpful to save space any way you can, and multi-function devices do save space.
