Peter, it seems we have had many disagreement on this thread in the past but not this time.

My friends and i often discuss the way the market has gone up in the last month (would have been a good buying opportunity ...) but we really cant come up with valid reasons for a turn around. In the absence of such solid evidence of a turn around, we must hold course and refrain from jumping on a sinking ship, at least one that is still taking a lot of water in... I will concord with you and say that a real turn around is still some time away , in the mean time though i see the seeds are being sown for drastic change, both economically and socially. I personally think that Obuchi is in the way of a real rejuvenation of Japan and believe that enough dirt still is there lying around waiting to surface and that should put the last nails in the LDP 's coffin. Not buying yet.
