Dave, I only know some narrow niche stuff about disk drives. The technology Syquest has had is something the hard drive makers could have replicated if they wanted to. They didn't want to. They certainly have the expertise. So I don't think there is much of a market for Syquest's technology. Especially in light of Iomega's dominance and the threat of Sony entering. Put another way: take away the heads (made by others) and the disk (made by others) and the electronics (purchased from vendors) what's left that is unique and necessary? G.
