Yes. It is a long explanation of mostly the supply side. Although I suspect an options trader would say it was a short, superficial explanation <g>.

In no way am I disputing your position as a buyer. I.E. Why should I care about all this? However, I think the discussion was kicked off several posts back by someone who did care and said words to the effect "I want to know about how options market makers work." I was just trying to respond somewhat to that.

I understand how many people like to focus on their role only in markets or whatever the task at hand. I tend to be someone who likes to understand the whole game, not just my own role. Thus also my questioning about "who is doing what to whom" in si, which seems to interest no one.
