When folks are overly bullish, bad news is totally disregarded. Fiendbear's commentary today had an interesting comparison of now to 1974. There was a furious rally in the midst of a world of troubles (including a president who was in deep doo-doo). All bad news was temporarily disregarded, and a new bull market was declared by all.
