Clinton is the best thing that ever happened to the Republican party. I agree. President Clinton has provided them with the opportunity to get rid of the cancer called the Religious Right that is pulling the strings on every Republican puppet right now. And the party is mostly inhabited by puppets at this point of time... I am hopeful that all this leads to a more moderate, and slightly right-of-center Republican Party. But the process of evolution will be really, really, really painful. They still need one or two massive defeats before they are ready for the process. I hope it is just one defeat (in the year 2000) so that the process can start sooner... Dipy.
