Mr.Luckyman told us a few weeks back that he had grown up with Riggio and that he was a brilliant and aggressive competitor -- Riggio's response to questions about AMZN was "We've never entered a market we have not ended up dominating".

What a great move. Like cutting off the blood supply to a tumor! Guess people will need to re-consider their raving about AMZN's stupendously clever business model where they get to coast on immediate payments from the customers while delaying payments to their suppliers. Now to see OC's suggestion that B&N follow standard business practices and restrict credit to this big-talking company with the shaky fundamentals.

Looks like we're getting the usual "What, me worry?" response from the Thing -- whistling in the dark.
