You can't ignore the big caps and say what bubble -- that's silly. You can posture about what the future holds, but you can't take out the big caps and say what bubble, unless you are will to do the same kind of averaging over time -- taking out the largest caps there. OTW the comparison is simply not meaningful. Are you trying to convince yourself that you can get 20% to 30% playing the index now that we've rebounded off the lows? Your intuition is correct -- the liklihood is small -- don't convince yourself to lose money. Hats off to those that bought the bounce, but don't follow them now -- you are late to the party, IMO.
