Slugger, you had some excellent observations. Consider this.
>momentum players
>insider players
>science players
>tax loss players (lack of)
>margin players (at 5)
All IMO

Bob,
Speaking of tax loss players, as you know I've been a XOMA holder for about 8 years. I have some nice gains in some other stocks, and was planning to sell at least some of my XOMA to offset the gains (as a buyer 8 years ago, as you can guess I have some significant losses). Then, a few weeks ago, as I'm about to pull the trigger and sell, the stock starts to move. I know as soon as I sell, news comes out re: the FDA and the stock rockets. So much for my tax loss selling... <g>

Anyone checked EDGAR recently? Try Boolean search for Mirthie AND Neighbor!!!!! Remember SEC disclosure rules apply to everyone. This is discussed on the Mr. Rodgers web. Think the evidence indicates that the move is indeed due to the move. It is reported that Mirthie's ex neighbor now lives next door to blugreen and that not only has he been buying lots of stock but he has also been adding XOMA to more than three Internet model portfolios. This is more important than the actual buying. No <g> <VBG> or any of that stuff, because this is serious business!
