I'm actually hoping for a market drop sometime in CY99 based on "impending Y2K spending slowing other corporate tech upgrade spending" as well as perhaps "Y2K doom and gloom" (may be a good idea not to fly the first few days of 2000). That's the kind of drop which will make for some good buys, because as much as Y2K diverts tech upgrades, it will also spurn them. I suspect many firms will simply replace their technology (incl. software) rather than refurbish obsolete systems. Let's watch and see.
