Paul,

Thanks for the important news update man. I guess
you had to break from your technical discussion with
Maxwell to tell us of this impending disaster.

Jeez, AMD have stopped processing wafers at
Initial Ox! Bloody Hell!! Don't they realize
the world needs zillions of K6-2's!!!

For Gods sake somebody tell them AMD wafer starts
guys to push some silicon PRONTO into the line.

By the way, I'm beginning to think you really are
over emotionally attached to your Intel stock. IMHO.

Pearly.

Here's a little UK update from Copy II on Yahoo:-
Of course you can't believe ALL the B/S one reads
but, it's a lot more convincing then yours...

M2 PRESSWIRE-5 November 1998-TIME COMPUTER SYSTEMS: Time first with
366Mhz AMD K6-2 in UK (C)1994-98 M2
COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Time Computer Systems Ltd. is the first company to launch a PC with 366Mhz AMD K6-2 3DNow! processor in the UK. The
highly specified 366-2 3 D Time Machine is introduced this November and will sell for only GBP 999 plus VAT. 3D Now! radically improves the quality of the 3D graphics used in today's computer
games and multimedia packages. It uses a set
of 21 new instructions that use SIMD (Single Instruction Multiple Data) to open the performance bottleneck between the host CPU
and the 3D graphics card. This produces faster frame rates, better physical modelling of real world environments and more realistic
3D graphics and images.

However, the 366-2 3D Time Machine isn't just about its processor the whole package offers excellent performance. Other features
include 128Mb SDRAM, ATI's AGP x 28Mb 3D graphics card and a 10.1 Gb hard disk big enough for any needs.

The package also includes a free A4 flatbed colour scanner, Epson 440 colour inkjet printer and comprehensive software bundle.
The computer comes with Windows 98 pre-installed along with Lotus Smartsuite and a range of home and educational titles these
are all supplied on back up CD-ROM as well on the PC. The EXEC model includes a joystick, microphone headset, 5 top games
titles and 13 multimedia titles for only an extra GBP 99 plus VAT.

Other Time computers that include an AMD K6-2 3D Now! processor are the Time 300-2 Mobile Office and due for release soon
a 400Mhz DVD version of the 3D Time Machine.

Pictures available on request.

Notes to Editor: Time Computer Systems, the UK's largest computer mail order company, was formed in 1987 to address the needs
of the first time computer buyer with little knowledge of computers. From a staff of one, the company has now grown into a thriving
business with a turnover of more than GBP 100 million and a staff of 1500. Time now has 110 retail showrooms nation-wide, with
further openings planned in 1998.

High Priest:

<<Have you noticed that the number of K6-2 wafers at Initial Oxide are down the past few weeks, Maxwell?

When wafer starts go down, you should be concerned.>>

Is this what happening at Intel? Intel has a gate oxide reliability problem and shutting down the line? Can you tell me which Intel fab has this problem and as a result the wafer starts go down?

How do you know so much about fab? Are your Intel friends feeding you information daily out of their fabs? Perhaps you could share it with
us.
