Just curious, Alex. Does that go for marijuana, prescription meds and everything else in your opinion. If not, then it becomes a matter of where society chooses to draw the line.

How about trans-fatty acids, McDonalds et cetera.

It is very difficult to be rational and principled on this set of issues - what would be the underlying principles guiding when and when not to prohibit use and possession.

It may come down to random attitudes of the majority about particular random things. These attitudes change and re-change. Some are stricter than 40 years ago, such as alcohol, child safety. Some are looser - sex, drugs.

Not trying to pick a fight. Just looking for new insights on this issue.
