-OT (kinda)-
Gary,
Speaking of LU/NOVL NDS stuff and the general speculation that LU is in an acquisitive mood....Do you see any synergy there? Technicals for NOVL look good.

Gary,

Second MSFT has the market/mindshare - remember what they did in the browser market. Third, CSCO will be helping them and CSCO owns the enterprise.

Browser "yes", but MSFT has yet to make a scratch in the market of portals and search engines such as YHOO, XCIT, LCOS, and SEEK. If I were a teacher, I'd give Bill Gates a "D" in terms of his performance in this area since he has the market/mindshare .....as you say.....and I would say of a gorilla.

Meanwhile, gosh, don't think LU would look into software companies to round out their hardware pipes? Who knows, IBM, while primarily hardware, is on the hunt for companies with software and services. NOVL would be a gem pick for them IMHO. Additionally, even large ISP might have an interest in NOVL. Who knows. I mean MSFT goes into cable and Web TV, and one would think....huh, what does that have to do with desktop operating systems??? Just depends on how you spin it.

Regards,

QuadK
