Free Dinner! Well they say there is no free lunch in business, but perhaps there is free dinner :) I've been invited by Salomon Smith Barney to attend a dinner on Nov. 19 in Long Island, NY. There is a 50:50 chance that I won't go, but in any event I can put you (few of you anyway) in touch with people who can arrange an invitation for you. The dinner is titled How to access the country's best money managers and is for people with too much money and too little time or brain (I'm not sure which one Solly thinks I am). They hope that they can convince the attendees to put a minimum of $100,000+ each in their fund managers' hands. Yes, I know no one here would go for that. But it is a free dinner and a chance to meet and chat with some filthy rich people (any single females out there interested ;) Let me know if you are interested.
