My plan today (I am trying to develop discipline) was to short at the second rejection of a high, and to reverse and go long and the second rejection of a low, as shown on a two-minute chart. However, I trade with MBT and their router or ecn or something is out so we can't make NYSE trades so far today. Too bad. Questions: If trans lead the way up, do they also lead the way down? Is this historically the case or just recently? Is there a way to tell whether announced stock buybacks are being or have been exercised? I agree that the large tape buys look like the buyback or fund purchasing. A bit of news this AM--AMR mothballing ten planes earlier than planned. Means a slowdown in growth plans (= bad), but cost cutting (= good).
