John, If I like the stock, I tend to roll out in time and up in strike price. You have to remember that that four-bagger is now not just a profit, it's a risk. I would rather take 10 points off the table and buy a further out $25 call. BTW, I recomment that you don't invest your entire stash in the roll. Just roll out the same number. If you had 10 12 1/2s, buy 10 25s, not 40 25s because you have more money. Pyramiding looks good to the one or two people who make a lot of money. But for the 1000s who try it and see their profits disappear, it is a bad deal.
