I would agree that the event is inevitable. The seeds of destruction are ever present and thrown at us by those that have an attachment to violent chaos and rending, and the *side* they choose, nothing more than an element in their *game*. However, I do believe that we have the power as a people to turn it away and stem the chaos before it destroys, as we have time and again, though there have been times it would have wonderful to have managed it sooner. I saw Tuesday's vote as a message from the majority as a vote for unity, and a message to those on either *side* to cool it, to bite their tongues, that we will not allow ourselves to be torn apart. Okay, I'm hopelessly naive, though I prefer to think of it as faithful. <g>

Lovely. Original? Don't believe I've heard if it before.
