Victor ______________________________ " she_xlr8s (44/F/TX) 42103 of 42104 good sign. next week we should see some movement upward. yesterday e.p. gave a big speech to all the big name vendors in town. he sounded very positive going forward and had great numbers to show to back that up. no doubt we'll meet and beat the numbers for Q4. look for big announcement nov.11th, dell earnings nov. 12th, options exp. nov.13th, comdex nov. 16-20 e.p. one of the main speakers(poor m.d. in a snit) and nov.17 fed. meeting should be a lot of action in next couple of weeks. jerry favors is starting to question his analysis as of late. next week should bear out whether he is on track or not still in the bearish mode though. says the 5 day RSI may not be applicable in these market conditions. could be an inversion at work. if that were true another possible downturn nov 25th he still is calling this a short term bear rally. gearhead CPQ is NYSE the market is made by a specialist not MM. the specialist has no incentive to manipulate stock price , can't really, he'd be overriden by SuperDOT. that happens on the nasdaq, not NYSE, which accounts for the increased volatility of nasdaq stocks. cpq first listed on nasdaq now nyse. francis whisper number is the streets concensus of what they believe earnings will be in the coming Q. not the EPS which is set by co. & analysts. coverage initiated means an analyst at one of the brokerage houses has started to follow and cover the company and make recommendations etc. " redcae i'm in houston. i've been partying pretty hard lately. not to mention fending off the HPD who seem to think i'm "carmageddon incarnate" and americas most wanted. i guess thats why i got a little bitchy this week sorry i get my fair share of falconeddys in real life and sometimes i just let the ol' irish in me get away :) helpinout your still the greatest! thanks so much!
