I have purchased at one point or another all of the Pit Bull manuals...including recently, the Mutual Fund Rotation Strategy. The manual does give enough information to go it alone if you desire to keep track of the funds, do a little math, etc... My take is the manual covers the rotation strategy, but the optional service covers a more advanced timing strategy... look at the website for returns of the rotation versus the timing added strategy...

By the way, though the manual does talk about the five funds, according to their website subscription they are currently only using three funds + money market. Apparently, the other two funds only contributed to about 1.5% of the total gains....
