>>hope he will be around this thread when AMZN gets crushed.

Are you kidding? I've taken everyone's abuse all the way up. I'm certainly not going to take it on the way down!

An interesting thing that needs further examination..

Not less than an hour after B&N announced they were buying Ingram, scamazon.con released a previously prepared statement saying everything is fine. That shows their PR department is still on the ball.

So why didn't they issue some sort of statement about Walmart's allegations? They've had 2 weeks now.. The only explanation is that Amazon knows they got caught and simply couldn't put ANY positive spin on the matter without outright lying.

Can't wait to hear the settlement terms.

Or if they dont settle, consider the prospects for the christmas season:

1) They have to shutdown their order center because they're using technology stolen from Wal-mart.

2) They lose their incredibly favorable credit terms with Ingram and actually have to pay for their inventory.

doesn't look good.. i expect a selloff in the last 30 mins today.

Hasn't William pointed out repeatedly that he has much more YHOO and AOL than AMZN? Is it not very clear that he will NOT ride these down, but will sell at the first real sign of weakness? Is it not obvious that he is so far ahead that he can be patient and wait for REAL weakness and not potential problems?

This is not directed at you at all, but the over all attacks that I have seen him suffer while the companies he holds fly upwards 300% for the year!! Obviously he is laughing all the way to the bank, but seeing everyones response to his success is a real lesson in human behavior.
