There is nothing honorable here at all, and I implore those of you who take this position to try and recover at least a few remnants of self-respect. This very unfortunate statement translates into this: "Personally, I be wantin' a leeda who be jez as big a liyah, an' scumbag as me." . This is comprehensive self-abasement. We ought to demand better of our countrymen. A clever debater should note the rather obvious play towards emotions based upon racial hatred in this statement. The speaker has sought to rally his "troops" in a manner playing upon division along racial lines. This is an unwise choice, as this polarizes ones opponents against them, whether this was the intention or not. A clever debater should further note that the author, by refusing to ever comedically debase himself in his speech, comes across as one who believes he is always right. Self debasement is a tacit admission that you are capable of making mistakes. Thus, our inferior debater comes across as "holier than thou" through his own failure to allow for the possibility that there could be flaws in his own thought process. Belief in God can not be taught. Only the loosely and often mistranslated and misinterpreted word of God has been set down in the bible by men, who were no more or less flawed or perfect than you and I. God reveals himself only to those who both respect and question all institutions around them. Only a fool believes everything is at it appears on its face. The author by refusing to debase himself, debases himself in a manner that only a good student of life can understand. Never take yourself too seriously. You might get trapped in a big lie. -- Zax
