A fall from 11 to 7 would hurt but not nearly as much as a fall from 34 to 7. Gimme an earnings surprise & we be off. I'll even take a change in sentiment - or a coattail thing.... Whatever it takes.

I agree with your analysis. VLSI has fabs considerably hurting the bottom line since product demand has been weak over the last year.
However, when the semis cycle turns, which it will eventually, VLSI will be in a position to sell, sell, sell, its products. It's very difficult for semis companies to calculate return on investments in fabs and R&D in such a volitle industry.
