Reports from my broker suggest that institutions own most of the stock (60%+). An older report showed @80%. If correct, well.... Now, what would happen if that 20% was bought back up??

Selected tidbits from the Yahoo VLSI thread (which by the way is much more active than this thread): messages.yahoo.com

A win: messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

A discussion on an emerging market:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

The chip market:

Another(?)
techweb.com

Value Line's opinion:

and:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

A takeover rumor:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

Comments on VLSI's position in various market sectors and a debunk on the takeover rumor:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

And (of course), price forecasts:
messages.yahoo.com@m2.yahoo.com

Doesn't seem to be anybody (with one exception) who believes VLSI is going to do anything but go up. The Value Line report, on the other hand, is a good, sobering report. (Remember, VL gives a lot of weight to fundamentals coupled with momentum)
