Any Vancouver Rogers @Home users? Sorry to barge in like this, but I've had the service since August and I'm unbelievably disappointed with my access to SI. Doing tracert tests, it varies between 600ms and 800ms on some hops. For me to answer a post is about a 2 to 3 minute operation. Rogers tells me it's a "political" problem between them and Sprint - so why is that my problem?

What drives me nuts is that the service is fabulous at 4:00AM PST, you know, right around bathroom break time. But, at 6:30AM, it's back to normal.

Anyway, sorry for the interruption. I would like to hear from some Vancouver users - and if you're not having any problems, then I'm really going to scream at Rogers.

Thnx for the link. A very good summary.

Also: RE Rogers in Vancouver. I am with Shaw in my city and have not experienced any slowdowns, however my phone company recently called and tried to convince me to switch to their high speed access based on two reasons

1. They said that security was a real problem with cable access (implying that my system would not be safe)

2. They also said that as the number of users grows in my area my speed will drastically drop.

While the second may be true, it is still faster than what they have to offer
