NT = POSIX Compliant.. you did know that didn't you?

Perl = POSIX application.

you know, Win NT use to run on the old Apple (high speed CPU) system
a few years back (can't remember the name of that gee-wiz
super fast CPU at the time). But certainly, that was an
inferior combination.


NT used to (and still does) run on the PowerPC. In fact it runs well on pweorpc boxes, the only problem is finding powerPC boxes, and for that reason Microsoft no longer develops for the PowerPC. (it's still on the 4.0 workstation and server CDs though). Did you also know that NT runs on MIPS, and ALPHA as well? Yes NT will run on your beloved SGI machine!..
