Highwood Resources Ltd -
Delisting from Nasdaq
Highwood Resources Ltd HWD
Shares issued 20,025,748 1998-11-11 close $0.5
Thursday Nov 12 1998
Mr. Garry Lynkowski reports
In November of 1997 the company was notified that the Nasdaq Stock Market had approved new continued listing standards for companies currently listed on the Nasdaq exchange. Since this notification, Highwood has worked diligently to avoid delisting. The company's efforts have included written submissions to the Nasdaq exchange, as well as attending a hearing in Washington D.C. last month. Although the company successfully meets seven of the eight continued listing criteria, it is not currently meeting the minimum bid price criterion. As a result, Highwood was notified that the company's securities would be delisted from the Nasdaq Stock Market effective with the close of business Nov. 9, 1998.
The company will continue active trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange while the board reviews its options for listing on alternative stock exchanges in the United States.

QUESTION:
In as much as this will reduce exposure in the US, could it not also have a positive effect on the TSE trading activity?
