Alan,

I think so. Please understand, I am simply trying to remember all that I have read and do NOT have all this stuff memorized <gg>

Even with samsungs major push, there will still be a shortage of RDRAM next year- there are estimates that there will be a need for 150+ million chips next year and analysts wonder who will produce them all.

Look- enough on this subject if it bores everyone, besides, I hope we DO have enough chips- I hope the infrastructure IS in place and I hope we all get a DOUBLE next year!!

Regards,

MH

Alan,

Actually they made a very similar announcement 12 weeks ago, it's just updated now.

I think INTC wants to assure that there is price competition, that's why they are doing the MU thing. They want a steady, reliable supply, at a competitive price, and they must have seen the writing on the wall that Samsung planned on dominating the market.
