>Clinton deserves more credit for the Republicans big victory in 1994. Most people couldn't tell you what was in the Contract with America. A grossly, incompetent president that offends people with Gays in Military and scares people with Health Care Fiasco does wonders for the opposition party.< Eeeeeyup. All that Republicans need do is starkly and repeatedly juxtapose their basic values next to those of the Democrats, and the Democrats will lose every single time, and they will lose BIG. School vouchers, abortion, homosexuals, the role of government, taxes, affirmative action, the military. The Republicans merely need show the truth, show it with style and show it repeatedly, and the American people will swallow it like penny a glass lemonade. (Show a successful Black surgeon after having wrapped up a great piece of work. The surgeon begins to speak-- "After years of affirmative action, nothing has changed (cut to flashed images of inner city Black men selling drugs, prisons, gangs and men simply sitting idly around), Blacks are as trapped in slavery as they have ever been. The Democrats have said all we need is quotas and to be given money. They mean well, but all they have done is kept us fed on the plantation so that we can't work for ourselves. It's like saying to us that we are not strong enough to do on our own just as well as anyone else. This is wrong. Sure, there is racism in this country-- lots of it, but when I was a kid, my parents told me I just had to be twice as good as Whites to overcome it. I believed them and today I'm a surgeon. (He grins) Maybe I am twice as good as most surgeons, but today this is not the point. When I dress up for work, (He points to the surgeon's table), even the harshest racist will climb on my table.) Voice over Vote Republican... the voice of reason (fade away).) Democrats be outta deah!
