This is the first I have heard that Asia, etal, is responsible for the current price of oil. We see it as a plain and simple excess supply situation. We have been through this before....I have endured this at least 3 times in my 20 years in the oil business.

It could be that we are talking about the same thing...just using different words to describe it. donno.

If we do enter a world recession and things don't look good, then I don't think any of us will be safe.

You are right. We in the west have done a very effective job of making oil producers depend on the money we supply. They have never been very co-operative in supporting the price of oil. We in the west depend on this, and it could be one of the major players in starting us on the long slide downwards....I will leave this to you it is above my head...I just work for a living....

I would think us gold bugs will suffer too in the global situation. Nothing would be safe. Don't you agree?

Best to you
