The folks who buy those things are either:

1) To busy to use them.
2) To stupid to know which key to press.
3) Can't concentrate due to back pain (arrows).
4) To busy posting on SI (Tero, Gregg)
5) Like the phone.

I would be surprised if the venture did not have a much more practical flavour ... more in the line of FedEx, Salesforce Automation, Meter Readers, Daycare Workers, Lawyers & Spin Doctors ...

OT (sort of...) OS systems in phones...

they already have two incompatible OS systems in place and I would be a confused consumer....

When was the last time consumers noticed what OS was used in a 'phone? They couldn't give a fig. However, your average PDA purchaser will probably be concerned.
I'm wondering if the QCOM PDq is a little premature.
Personally, I would wait until:
1. The network providers get around to providing a decent data service;
2. The cost for said service is cheap; I recall the debacle over the price structure for CDPD (the data service over AMPS). The pricing was indecipherable.
3. The OS issue is settled.
A LITE version of Windows CE would be most attractive, providing a
look and feel consistent with my PC.
