And there is a large black population. So possibly a majority of whites voted against this measure. Astonishing.

Republican=KKK All: Hard to believe this -- but was there a measure in South Carolina that was passed Tuesday that finally legalized inter-racial marriage? . . . Btw, what was the stand of the defeated Repub. Gubernatorial candidate on this one -- against, or equivocating? (I know for sure it couldn't have been for the legislation). Wasn't this the Repub. who was defeated in part because he removed the Confederate flag from the capital?

That is hard to believe. But did you hear about an interesting resolution in Maine on Tuesday? This one would have banned mowing one's lawn topless. Seems there was a rash of soccer moms baring all last summer as they sweated out their lawn care. The resolution failed.
