jlallen, I predict that the House will conduct a very quick inquiry with little fanfare, calling only Starr as a witness plus a statement from Bill. Then they, Republicans and Democrats alike, will call Bill a very bad boy and slap his hands in some manner, and end the subject. There will not even be a vote on impeachment. The real vote was on November 3rd and the Congress received the message loud and clear.

I can envision Clinton being called before a joint session and reprimanded by several speakers from both parties, some punishment named, and he will accept the medicine with an apology. This whole event will not last over two weeks and will end on an upbeat note to the great relief of all parties.

The impeachment turmoil was the main reason behind my bearish sentiment and that reason just evaporated with Newt's resignation.
