What percentage of adults? A whole year of "Democracy in America" on c-span, and ONE caller wanted to point out that we are a Republic. He wanted to ask if the historians knew when the commonly stated perception of what we are first changed. But they cut him off. And they stated that the notion. that we are a republic had become meaningless over the years.
