thanks for the second part of the fool article. I never heard of paying a supplier on a cash basis (Motorola). Except when there was cash incentive (discount).

I can understand why tlab wants to pay their suppliers promptly in order to gets parts.

A recent example of parts problems was when I ordered a Gateway mini tower. I got a call back to substitute a part and something else. A week later I got another call back to see if they could substitute a disk drive and I said sure if it helps. Two weeks later I called to see when it shipped to find out it wouldn't be shipped for another six days. I canceled the order.
