I think what you will see is that there will be a war between the moderate Republican's and the religous right and social conservative wings of the Republican's and the moderates will win and all of the religous right and social conservatives will sit out the next election or form a 3rd party. With all of them gone; it is the complete dismantling of the Reagan nightmare that brought in all the religious nutcases into the politics of the Republican Party. The Democrats will have a message that appeals to swing voters and the former Reagan Democrats and they will sail back into power; both in the House and in with the Presidency. The Senate will also be more Democrat though the Republican's will probably hold that. If the moderate Republican's don't win and this all goes even more with the Religious Right; the moderates in the Republican Party will sit out the election; it is a lose lose situation. The Dems are united in comparison. Not bad.
